A simple value game. Imagine that Aliens (extraterrestrials) invade the Earth and exterminate the entire human population, except for you and 20 other people. They randomly divide the others into two groups of 10 each (group A and group B). The Aliens let you decide which one of the 2 groups should be spared (A or B). Once you decide, the Aliens will immediately exterminate the group you didn’t choose, and you as well, and then leave the Earth permanently. If you don’t make your choice within 5 minutes, they will exterminate both groups, and you as well.
For each individual Scenario, decide which group you would chose to spare?
These are only 6 Scenarios regarding gender (biology) being presented here, but other types of scenarios (age, identity, etc.) can reveal more variations. The answer you give for each Scenario reveals which group you consider more valuable (net).
The optimum solution for each Scenario will generally be obvious to a rational person. If you didn’t give the rational answer in every case then you could be a threat to the human species (including yourself).
